      To Whom it May Concern:
           It gives me great pleasure to write this letter of character reference for Elizabeth Lee.  I have know her for 13 years, during several of which she occupied a cottage on my farm, Wind Fields, in Middleburg.
          Elizabeth is trustworthy, honest, open-hearted and public-spirited all to an exceptional degree.  Any community in which Elizabeth lives wil find in her a well of resorces for public service.  She is a character --- ----- who sets a high example of citizenship.  Sincerely, Robert McKinney (Robert passed at 93 after serving four terms as Ambassador to Austria and Switzerland)

     I have known Elizabeth Lee for fifteen years as a friends and as a professional.  My experience of her is that she is a reliable woman of character, a rare person in this world  Not only have she and her husband, Paul adopted three chrildren and raised them as good citizens, she has build a health business from the ground up, servicing regular clients from my community for over 15 years.  She is known to be someone whom one can count on for her reiabiity and honesty.
    I trust Elizabeth to the extent that I asked her to accompany my family to England to care for my children while I was shooting a film.  Ten years ago she lived for a period of time on our farm.
    I can recommend her for her integrity and her determination to accomplish the vising she has put forth to the Planning Commission.  I have seen the plan and I think it would be an asset to the very special town of Sperryville.
