Yes, it has been a long time since I've paid attention to my website.  My ibook completely failed and I hadn't properly backed up my work.  So this loss, and the same ol' Bush pushed my energy to an all time low.  Now that we have a new president and are full of hope I'm pulling myself back.  And I'm driving to 'town' a couple of days a week.  Which 'town'?  Well, from here we are usually talking about DC when we talk about going to town.  But I'm actually referring to Reston and Capital Hill.

Well, this year was busy.  We created the Engham House Guest Rooms.  I attempted to get a reduced interest rate on my house which stands at 7.9%.  After months of calling I finally got a 'package' to request the modification.  Wachovia, now Wells Fargo, is the fourth owner of my mortgage.  Last week I got the notification that I was not going to be granted an interest rate reduction.  Instead they offered a 'short sale'.

"Miss Anne" Bellomy has joined me to make the Guest Rooms possible.  A 72 year old, spunky Texan, she keeps me focused and is a wonderful community coordinator.  Since I seem to be on a more reclusive path right now, this is a wonderful addition.

How does time fly so quickly?  Yes, I know, but Really?  It appears that we are going to host a 7-man construction crew starting on March 14th.  Whew!  I'll be fine when I finally get going.  Now I'm a little nervous, guessing and second guessing.  I will assume that these fellows will be gentlemen and look forward to spoiling them with good food, comfy beds and positive attitudes.  The cable TV and WIFI may help!  ; ) elee

JANUARY 2012

Well, the pattern is coming clearer.  I blog once a year on average.  This has actually been a very active year.  Last summer I took my grandson, Nicholas, on a camping trip to the Grand Canyon.  We had a wonderful time along with my dog, Sweetie.  I had a great time with my friend Ann Bellomy putting the finishing touches on The Engham House.  Check the website.  We worked very hard to make GREEN guest rooms and keep the atmosphere of this old Historic property.  

However, after two years of trying to negotiate a mortgage modification with Wachovia and then Well Fargo I finally found out that I wasn't going to be considered because I didn't have enough income.  They asked for bank statements for the two worst months yet.  Once again I'm being offered a short-sale option.

I had to put my priorities in order and my private practice came out WAY on top.  I'm pursuing my BS and MS in Complementary and Alternative Medicine, at the World Institute, School of Integrative Sciences, because I want to have a few years to teach Continuing Ed for Massage Therapists.  I love learning.
